I'm glad you like the system. In response to your suggestions:
I'll pass these on for consideration when we do the next round of asset type changes.
This has already been suggested by a member of staff, but it was realised that there might be data protection issues so the idea was put on hold. With people asking for this, it may be revisited.
This is in progress but there is no current date of release.
Local printers should be detected and placed in under the drivers icon in the PC and can be turned into a real asset by clicking on the 'Make Asset' button. This is because it is not possible to detect printers (they may be switched off) but only printer drivers. Network printers are not processed automatically because there area serious issues matching printers detected on different machines to the same asset.
The asset types are currently global, shared between all accounts, and with the current system can not be added on an account by account basis.
This would be extremely difficult to do in a web application.
The icon used for Agent detected machines is determined by the case type that the machine believes it has. If the icon is incorrect that is because the machine itself has reported the incorrect type. Unfortunately, at the moment if you change the case type it will be changed back by the Agent when it next uploads.

* Generally a bigger selection of assets covering PE, ICT, vending machines
* More types of rooms like Sports Hall, Gym, Dinning Hall, Changing Rooms

HP, Dell and Evesham it gives it a PC logo, is it possible to have an actual server (as in tower) icon
