Contents Value Calculator

We are pleased to announce that we have added the Contents Value Calculator to the Parago system.
The Contents Value Calculator allow you to see at a glance the value of the assets in your account, specify the value of any assets that you do not want to add individually and specify the amount that you are insured for. In addition you are automatically alerted if the total value of your assets exceeds the amount that you are insured for.
The value of any asset in your account is taken either from the new Replacement Cost field if specified or the Cost field (both of which are under the Purchase Info tab) if not.
To specify the value of assets that you do not wish to add to your account individually, click on the 'Contents Valuation' link in the tools section of the shortcuts on the Home page. This will list all the rooms in your account and allow you to specify the value of the general contents in each one. You can also specify the sum you have insured.
Initially, the summary of the contents calculator will only appear on the Home page if you have specified anything. If you want to see this even if you haven’t specified the value of any general contents or the sum you have insured or if you want it to appear when viewing assets, click on 'Your Preferences' on the Home page and change the 'Content Value Summary' setting on the User tab.
